oh, monday

5 minutes ago: 

i'm standing outside of the studio blowing my nose, when i hear a familiar baritone quip: "i'm early!" to a few men standing about ten feet away from me. i have no choice but to continue filling my tissue with snot as Will Arnett walks past. "sorry," i mumble as i turn away bashfully. 

what a glamorous life i lead.

it's been a harrowing week for the Adams and the rest of the family. we almost lost Ian again a couple of days ago. life is so precious, everyone. kiss your babies, love your family, pray for your friends.

Ever had one of those days that the floor sample perfume bottle shocks you by spraying wayyy too hard so you're plunged into such a musky, flower-saturated never ending haze of headache, coughing, sneezing and nausea that changing and showering tonight can't come soon enough...?

Well, lots of things. Lots of things all at once...

The twins have been diagnosed with RSV.

4 days to the wedding...and we were just informed that the place we were planning on living has been rented to someone else.

My dear friend and food coordinator, Searcy, has advanced pneumonia and told me in tears tonight that she probably won't even make it to the wedding.

It might rain on Sunday.

And i think i have a sinus infection!

those among many other "little' things. (work and finances included as well)
could i ask for prayer, please? i have not felt this overwhelmed in a long time. i know that God WILL provide, and a lot of this is Him just working out His very BEST for us.

i'm just a very scared human right now and i don't want to cry. with a sinus infection that would be really really gross.

Second time this month. really not liking this trend. first time it was Caid & Henry's fault! This time it's my parents!! ...or maybe staying up too late at a wedding on saturday.

Lord, i really, really need to be healthy for the next 7 weeks! As soon as the honeymoon's over, hit me with whatever. Please!

Mailed out a huge load of wedding invitations today....IT'S HAPPENING

A couple of weeks ago they had a pumpkin carving day at work. Being true to disney, i decided to do a villain. So, I carved a pumpkin that looked like scar.

Unfortunately i left it at work in my cubicle over the weekend...and the warmth of the office combined with a propensity to mold took care of my poor pumpkin real fast. At least i got a picture of it!

Sick. Sick, sick, sick.

I'm really really ready to be well again. in the past week i've had to give up much-needed work... cancel dates with friends i haven't seen in days, weeks, and even months... bow out of helping Joey and Ginger when they need now it more than ever...
kind of feeling like a failure at life (immune system edition). mopey much? definitely yes, i am.

These things are all just also compounding on other areas of hurt in my heart lately...

I just really would like to be well again, Lord.

sickly sick since early last week. death to my sinuses. yay!

this needs to stop after tomorrow, for real though. i can't take it anymore. plus, i have work to do, babies to see, and far away places to fly to! seriously though, i do. North Carolina on friday.

Chad and i have been making lots of terrariums...it started out as his Valentine's day surprise project for me :) i was already kind of obsessed before that...but now i'm TRULY obsessed. Like, buying books and constantly looking for new materials. At this point we're just experimenting for possible wedding centerpieces and also because they're super fun to make. We'll see if what we're doing is working!

Still sick...still. Just, exhaustion, dizziness, nausea...it's been weeks now. It's certainly the epstein-barr...i just don't feel like going to the doctor and getting poked with needles and paying lab fees to have them just tell me what i already know. :[

We've all been enjoying time with the boys...Ian is doing a lot better as far as his ability to move around, so that's been wonderful. I was looking at some pictures and videos i took of him before they left for arizona for christmas, and he looks like a completely different baby...not swollen, not pale, and head just brimming with long blond waves. Sweet babe...

Caid went in for bloodwork yesterday to begin to determine his eligibility to be Ian's bone marrow donor.

i miss painting so much that it's kind of aching in me. i think--i think--i have a pretty rad idea for a figure series. And it's nagging me to get started...but where, how, etc...is a mystery to me.

well, i have another bad infection. again. doesn't matter what/where/how...i might as well have gotten it from, you know, looking at a tree! all i know is that my immune system is shot, and that i'm exhausted and everything hurts. today i start on my 4th (or 5th?...they're all running together) regimen of antibiotics in the past year. i wonder when i will just not be sick anymore. sad face.

saw the doctor this morning and i'm now more informed and slightly relieved about a few things, and yet more discouraged about others. i am feeling so mentally out of it...! i kind of just want to sleep until tomorrow.

Well, thank goodness i only had to languish in a crowded assembly room for one day. Look how proud i am to do my civic duty!

It's been a looong week.Yesterday i thought i was regressing health wise...but doing better today.

Speaking of which, i have a doctor's appointment today to discuss my blood. :D
In the past year or two i've had my blood taken more times than i can remember...and i can say that the big fat bruise that developed after the nurse took blood last week...? not what's supposed to happen.
But she talked to me about Halloween raves and how awesome they are while she did it so it's cool.

Today is Bilbo and Frodo's birthday, by the way. Also known as Hobbit Day. Yes, it's a thing.

Caid is steadily becoming a Miyazaki fan. He absolutely LOVES My Neighbor Totoro and hums multiple songs from the score. I'm so proud!!
His favorite part, he says, is "when they get the acorns"...also "the part with the goat". His favorite character is catbus. He likes to make noises like catbus does...he sounds like the garbage disposal.

OH i forgot...i found a pure white hair smack in the middle of my bangs yesterday. In my bangs--which i look at multiple times a day. Which means it wasn't there day before yesterday. (of course, being me, i pulled it out and have since glued it into my journal.) How does that HAPPEN?? also, ITALICS!

Joey said that he saw a dead owl on the freeway the other day. An owl.

not much new...just that the mystery illness continues. spent the weekend in ontario with a bum right arm due to overly swollen lymph nodes, and a persistent low-grade fever, among other things.

i currently resemble an elderly woman with arthritis in both knees. gonna try to go to work tomorrow anyway! or i might just go insane with guilt.
this is also, of course, the week i am on call for jury duty. but BLESSING OF BLESSINGS, i checked in tonight and i don't have to go tomorrow. thank you, LORD.

it's 8:30 and i'm going to bed. maybe i really am an old lady now...

Slow start at work today...well, slower than normal. Being overtired turns me into a 15 year old PC--including, but not limited to--obsolete programming, frozen a dozen steps behind, frequent crashes and an abundance of viruses!
Sleep has been super stressful lately for reasons of general body self-sabotage and brain-function rebellion to the max...it makes it a real bummer when someone sets off a firework in the middle of the night.

I was supposed to report for jury duty yesterday but i postponed at the last minute. Best decision i've ever made.
